Shipping & Returns
SHIPPING POLICY
Shipments will be made 1-2 days after ordering according to the time of purchase. This is due for the need to fast the axolotls to prevent built up excrements from accumulating in their container. this prevents ammonia levels from rising, which will potentially kill the axolotl during the shipping process.
Express Shipping
Express Shipping will take place Monday - Wednesday after the allotted fasting period.
Return & Exchange Policy
Appalachian Axolotls does not accept any returns on purchases that have already been shipped. in the case of a DOA (dead on arrival) you will be refunded in full for your purchase. If DOA, send picture to AppalachianAxolotls@gmail.com of the animal in the original bag it was shipped in. We are not responsible for any deceased creature that has been released from its packaging before contact with a DOA claim to Appalachian Axolotls has been established. After contact with the DOA claim has been established we may ask you to take a video of the axolotl being released from its packaging to confirm death. All DOA claims must be filed within 2 hours of delivery. We do not refund shipping charges. Appalachian Axolotls is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. We are not responsible for any delays within the post office. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim. When selecting event pick up, any axolotl not picked up from the event specified will be refunded with a 50% restocking fee.
Disclaimer
It is Illegal to own an axolotl in California, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey and Washington D.C. It is legal to own an axolotl in New Mexico, but illegal to import from out of state. Therefore Any purchases made from the previously mentioned states will be rejected and refunded.
